QUALIFICATION

There will be an annual Club Championship Tournament held every December.

Eight places are available which will be taken by the top two players in each of:

The annual league. For the current 2024 season (9 Point), the top two players from league will each receive an entry. If there is a tie for 2nd & 3rd pace the primary tie break will be the head-to-head record between the players. Secondary tie break is points difference. Tertiary tie break is ‘points for.

1. The 3-point format (held on the 1st Thursday of each month). The top player will receive an entry plus one other player to be determined by playoffs of 3 x 3pt matches (semis + final).
2. The new bi-annual knockout. For the 2024 season there will be two knockouts (11 point), one in each half of the year. The winner of each knockout will receive an entry. If a single player wins both knockouts, then there will be an 11pt playoff match between the two runners-up. If the same player is runner-up in both knockouts, then they will receive the place.
3. The 1-point format (held on the 3rd Thursday of each month). The top player plus the winner of the playoffs will each receive an entry. The playoffs will be 3 x 1 point matches (semis + final).

A single player may receive multiple entries (up to 4).

PLAYOFFS (3 point)

1. The player who finishes top will automatically take one of the eight championship places.
2. Those finishing in 2nd-5th places will play best of 3 x 3-point semi-finals. The player finishing second will play fifth and third will play fourth.
3. The winners of these will play a best of 3 x 3-point final to determine who takes the second championship place.
4. All these matches will be played on the 2nd or 4th Thursday in November (14th or 28th). By mutual agreement players may play their matches earlier. The semi-finals should be played on the 14th and must be played before 28rd November. The finals should be played on the 28th and must be played on or before 4th December.

PLAYOFFS (1 point)

1. The player who finishes top will automatically take one of the eight championship places.
2. Those finishing in 2nd-5th places will play best of 3 x 1pt semi-finals. The player finishing second will play fifth and third will play fourth.
3. The winners of these will play a best of 3 x 1-point final to determine who takes the second championship place.
4. All these matches will be played on the 3rd or 4th Thursday in November (21st or 28th). By mutual agreement players may play their matches earlier. The semi-finals must be played on or before 28th November. The finals must be played on or before 4th December.

FORMAT

1. A draw will be made to determine the matches to be played.
2. A player with a single entry will play in the 1st round.
3. A player with 2 entries will go straight into the 2nd round (semi-final)
4. A player with 4 entries will go straight into the final
5. A player with 3 entries will play in the 1st round. If they win that match then they will proceed straight to the final. If they lose that match then they will play in the second round. In this case the matches will be redrawn so that this person will not play the same opponent again (unless there are no other opponents in the 2nd round).

SCHEDULE

1. The first two rounds will be played on Thursday 5th December. Each match will be best of three 3 point matches.
2. The final will be played on Thursday 12th December. This match will be the best of three 5 point matches.
